Our journey since 2019

Since being founded in 2019, Hyndla has completed cable management designs and delivered supporting short circuit and illumination reports to some of the leading offshore wind operators for projects both in Europe and the U.S. Several operators have found value in bringing in our unique and independent competence in the concept- and detail design stages of new offshore wind projects.

By growing our team with electrical engineering experts from the offshore wind industry we started offering complete low-voltage design packages in 2021. This has increased our customer and project portfolio and continues to be the main focus for Hyndla moving forward.

In 2020 and 2021, we have also supplied advanced FEM calculations for several risk assessment projects to a major offshore operator on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. Here we leverage the possibilities with Impetus Solver to execute large, non-linear finite element models in the time domain, producing graspable results of the complete event for qualitative and quantitative risk assessment.
